In 2013, local breweries participated in 30 Seconds Over Chicago’s annual crowdsourced commercial competition for small businesses across the city. 30 breweries. 30 briefs. 30 days to film, edit and submit a :30 ad.
We teamed up with Middlebrow, a brewery that holds contests of their own to locally produce and distribute home brewer’s creations. Our first conversation ended with, “We’re pretty weird, so we’re looking for something like that.”
Fun ensued.
The ads premiered in front of a live Double Door audience where a panel of judges, along with in person and online voting, crowned a victor.
We didn’t win. But as a sign of appreciation, Middlebrow hooked us up with a keg.
More fun ensued. We won.
